Environment Fenland Laundries Limited is committed to reducing its impact on the environment. Fenland was the first laundry company in the UK to be registered to the environmental management systems standard BS 7750 (now BS EN ISO 14001) in 1996 for the Grantham site.
As the laundry industry inherently has a low impact on the environment, Fenland has had to be imaginative in its continuous improvement programme. Improvements in laundering efficiency have been coupled with advances in vehicle design, staff training and awareness, waste recycling and the development of nature conservation areas at each site.
